CONDITIONS OF HIRE as of November 2008
HIRE CHARGES: Are subject to change without notice. Current pricing must be confirmed at time of booking, and only once deposit is paid is the price held firm.
MULTIPLE HIRINGS: A deposit and bond is required for each boat booked. Full payment must be made 1 month in advance of the hire date or your booking may be cancelled without notice from Luxury Afloat. In the event of one boat being not required the cancellation condition will apply.
AGE: At least one member of the crew must be 18 years or older and be the signatory on all documentation.
CANCELLATIONS: The deposit/bond will be refunded less $100 cancellation fee if 30 days minimum notice given by hirer, otherwise refund will depend on boat being re-let for the same or similar period and /or similar monies.
INSURANCE: All boats are insured under a marine policy. The limit of hirers liability (provided the terms on hirers agreement are kept) is the security bond of $750 to $1500. This amount is at the discretion of Luxury Afloat at the time of hire. Any crew with a majority under the age of 30 years a $1500 bond is required.
HIRE TIME: Weekend hires start 1pm Friday and finish 4pm Sunday. Weekly hires normally start any day of the week except Saturday or Sunday.
FIREARMS: Are not permitted on board.
PETS: Domestic animals are not permitted into the Royal National Parks which encompass the waterways.
LETTING: The letting of the vessel is made on the understanding that the boat is placed at the disposal of the hirer on the dates booked unless the management is prevented from doing so by mechanical breakdown or unforseen circumstances. In this case, all monies will be refunded. However, the hirer will have no claim on any account against the management.
BOOKINGS: Upon making a reservation a deposit of $500 is required within 4 days of booking to confirm your booking, otherwise a reservation may be cancelled without notice to hirer. A $750 bond is required prior to departure. The bond may be increased upon discretion of the management. Bond is normally refunded within 24hrs after completion of hire unless there is due cause for the management to not do so. Any crew with a majority under 30 years of age a $1500 bond is required.
PERSONAL/COMPANY CHEQUES: These cheques will not be accepted for any payment unless submitted 10 days prior to hire dates.
